Fusion Finishing
Fusion Finishing is a poly ceramic glass glaze called synthetic porcelain. The fusion finishing is used in bathtub, tile and bath vanity refinishing in Dallas,TX.
The key benefit the client will find when having fusion finishing on a bathtub is that with fusion finishing the new synthetic porcelain coating is integrated into the old surface. The old method of bathtub refinishing Dallas was to simply paint the bathtub with epoxy paint. This epoxy paint was painted on top of the old surface and simply would not hold up to the demands of soap, cleaning of the bathtub and everyday use by the occupant. With the epoxy method of bathtub refinishing it was well known in the apartment and hotel industry that it was a temporary fix and required usually twice yearly upkeep by applying a new coat of epoxy which would have to be done after the old coat was stripped off. This was not a reflection of poor workmanship or a reflection of the epoxy it was simply a method of making a bathtub look good on a temporary basis and the look was limited to the painted look of epoxy which would also yellow when it came in contact with bleach.
Fusion Finishing was born out of necessity
Since this problem of a temporary fix mixed with poor looking finishes and the yellow appearance caused by bleach. It was evident that specialized coatings needed to be made to fit the specific needs of bathtub refinishing. Fusion Finishing was born out of that necessity. The synthetic porcelain is not used for anything else other than bathtub, tile, shower and bath vanity refinishing. It is not a paint and it can not be simply painted on. In fact, it uses a scientific approach of etching the surface to expose pores throughout the surface. Then a hand rubbed solution of fusion lock ™ molecular bonding agent is used to fuse the synthetic porcelain into the old surface.
